Thankful Verse Thursdays

  We cannot thank God enough for what He has done and is doing in our lives. 

"Thank God in everything no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks, for this will is the will of God for you who are in Christ Jesus the Revealer and Mediator of that will."
                            1 Thessalonians 5:18

        When going through a hard time, remember this verse.  For what you are going through will make you stronger in the end, so be thankful for that strength you gain.  :)
    

In Our Hearts But Also in Our Speech

Hundreds of years ago, during the Old Testament times, when someone used our Holy Father's name in vain they were  severely punished.

           

                    "Then the Lord said to Moses: 'Take the blasphemer outside the camp.  All those who heard him are to lay their hands on his head, and the entire assembly is to stone him.  Say to the the Israelites: 'Anyone who curses their God will be held responsible; anyone who blasphemes the name of the Lord is to be put to death." Leviticus 24:13-16

Of course, we do not do that now, but that does not make it safe to use God's name in that way.  Over the years, shouting, "Oh my God!" has become a saying used when you are surprised(in a good way or bad), happy, mad, etc.  Some believers of God even say it every now and again. Why is that?  Why have we, as Christians, accepted this disrespectful line towards our Lord?  Maybe it is because we think of it as not a big deal, but let us dig a little deeper shall we.  If someone showed you disrespect after you helping them with something, you wouldn't feel to good, would you?  You might even want to give them what they deserve.  But my point is is that, after what all God has done for us, we should remember that His name represents all that He is,  so His name is to be honored not only in our hearts but also in our speech.  Lets be more respectful towards God and help others to understand that it really is just nicer to say "Oh my gosh!" ;)

What Our Generation Needs!

          A few weeks ago, my youth pastor talked about what our generation needs and he said, Jesus, they need Jesus! We all knew that, of course, but thats not all, they also need men and women who are on fire for God all the time, who make their words into actions.  There are so many lost souls out there who are looking to fill a hole in their lives with drugs,alcohol, etc., when the fact is the only thing that can fill that hole is the Love of Jesus Christ. As He said, "Go and share the good news of great joy!", we ,the followers of our Lord, need to do exactly that! We can share this great news by using what God gives us so it can get through us into others!  We need to stop hoarding and start letting the things given to us by God out! For sharing his word, He will start using us like He has never used us before!  God just wants us to step out to save the lost souls of this generation and we can do it! With God's help nothing is impossible! All you have to do is obey His commands and God will give you opportunities to change someones life forever,  He will provide you with the words to say, its that simple! Just obey and He will provide.

God, Awaken Me!

This is such a beautiful song! I truly believe that I am waking up to God's truth like I have never done before! Jesus, I thank You! I would not be able to live this amazing life You have given me without You in it! I Love You SO much!

Sorry about not blogging Thursday D:

Hey guys!! Sorry about not blogging on Thursday when I said I was going to,  a lot has happened since then.  Wednesday night, before youth, I found out that my sister has filed her second divorce and she has 4 children!  Its so sad for what her kids are going through ! :'( They don't deserve this! I don't know what to think! I know this is the devil destroying this marriage and tearing this family apart, but how does he have the right to do this!? he doesn't and that is what drives me crazy!  I know that God can heal all of this hurt, but what has to happen first thought is, is that everyone involved has to want to be healed.  Because we are human beings, we can make choices between what is right and wrong.  We can't make someone decide on something that we want them to do. For us to have a pure heart about a decision and truly mean it we have to make it on our own.  This is a major problem going on in this divorce situation. I have been praying for my sister to open her eyes and to see that everything can be better all, she has to do is accept that and work on it, but so far, far worst things are happening!  satan is fighting and he wont let go unless I fight harder for this family to stay together and love one another!  So I'm praying God to give me strength and words of wisdom that will make the devil run away screaming out of my sister's life! That will make him never come back ever again!  In the next week I will be preparing myself for battle!  If you don't mind, please keep my sister's family and me in your prayers, it will help out dramatically! Leviticus

                The book in the Bible, named Leviticus, consist of God telling Moses to tell Aaron and his sons on how and what they needed to do in order to be holy.  Now, for those who do not know, Leviticus is in the Old Testament, (which was way before Jesus was born and saved our sinful souls), so the people living in that time had to obey God's commands for Him to even accept them.  They had to give sacrifices and sprinkle the blood of cows and goats everywhere on the altar of the church.........I dont know about you, but.......I am so thankful that we do not have to do that anymore, because that is just gross. haha! I mean really? yuck! But anyways, the people of Israel gave sacrifices that were required to atone for their sin.  But later in the New Testament, God brought down His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for our sins.  This ultimate sacrifice fulfilled all the laws listed in the Old Testament and many other amazing things too!  This is one reasons out of many that I am so thankful for God's grace and mercy, and also His epicness!! Thats not even a word, but I don't care!! ;) haha! 

               SO, that is what i have to write on today :) I have more, but I don't want to make this too long so goodnight! Oh! btdubbs if you have any good advice to give me, please give it. thanks! :)

              

  

Why did I Create This Blog?

Its 2:30 in the morning and I'm on the computer reading one of my friends blog, and a voice speaks to me.  Its my Prince of Peace, my King Of Kings, my Almighty God.  He said to me, you should create a blog so you can share what I'm doing in your life, so you can share my good news with your life as an example.  At first I was like, are you kidding God? like I'm not the best writer around and you want me to tell people about my walk with you on the internet with written words? and then I thought about it and I was like, God will provide the words to type all I have to do is obey.  So with further or due, I have decided to obey His command and blog on sunday, tuesday, and thursday with a little bit of random photography added on at random times (I love to take pictures!) ;) So before I end my first blog post i would like to write out a prayer,
              God, give me the consistency and accountability to stand by my words.  Help me to not live my life by my emotions, but to always do the right or best thing even when its hard.  I pray dear Lord, give me wisdom from your merciful mind. God I thank you for this great life that you have given me, thank you for the strong Godly friends and family you have placed in my life, I surrender all to You.  I Love You Jesus. Goodnight!
